Golden Pangolin is not trying to reinvent anything and that is the appeal. The beef lo mein has genuine wok-breath, the noodles slick and smoky, the beef tender.
The beef and broccoli is a textbook version and the air-fryer egg rolls are crunchy little parcels we kept reaching for. It is honest, generous, weeknight-perfect cooking.
Decor is firmly functional and the lighting could flatter a saint, but you come for the plates, not the ambience, and the plates deliver.
